This time I decided to cull my collection of talking books a little more and I found this lot.
Three unabridged Agath Christie novels, and some radio plays based on her work, a Colin Dexter novel (abridged), a radio adaptation of some P G Wodehouse, and a performance by Victoria Wood. They can all go to the residential home I think.
Six on a Saturday, seven on a Sunday. Thank goodness I can't think of a numerical alliteration for Monday.
I'm sure the residential home will make good use of your gifts. As for a numerical alliteration for Monday........... That's a tough on!!!
ReplyDeleteI think you are on a roll, I never thought if giving cd s or audio books to residential homes, thats something I will keep in mind.
ReplyDeleteI gave the home a bag full about a month ago and they were well received so I'm sorting out some more.
DeleteMany On A Monday !
ReplyDeleteI knew somebody would take up the challenge! Welcome to my blog!
DeleteI LOVE alliteration. I'm such a nerd (smiles). Thank you for the welcome to your lovely blog !
DeleteI think that sounds like a good place to share your audio books. I am thinking of taking a few of my regular books to my mother in law's retirement home where they have a small library. I used to sell them to the used book store until I realize that I wasn't getting anything for them and then they would turn around and sell them at half the retail price. I thought that seemed insulting to the books so I would rather donate them -- much more noble for the books, I think.
ReplyDeleteAt one time I would eBay them but it's just a lot of faff and like you, I'd rather give them to someone who would get pleasure from them.
